Write, Publish & Market Your Book — With Expert Coaching
You have a story to tell—and Write Publish and Market helps you bring it to life. Whether you’re writing a debut novel, preparing for self-publishing, or launching a book marketing campaign, I provide personalized support every step of the way.
Writing Services: From Concept to First Draft
Book writing help for plot structure, character development, and writer’s block. Our programs guide you through crafting compelling scenes and pacing your story, so you can confidently finish your manuscript and move toward publication.
Plenty of websites promise to teach you how to write stories people will buy, how to crank out twelve books a year, or how to create short novels that practically sell themselves. You'll find sites that offer advice on Amazon keywords for self-publishing. Some claim to reveal the secrets of cover design to grab attention from scrolling shoppers on Amazon. KDP agencies stand ready to handle your advertising, and small vanity publishers pledge to manage everything—editorial work, design, distribution, and publicity. Innovators in publishing say they have the path to best-selling opportunities.
THIS IS NOT THAT.
I worked in a digital marketing firm ranked in the TOP TEN BEST PLACES TO WORK for over 10 years, and not once did an author succeed without doing most of the work themselves. And I know because they put me in charge of marketing authors.
IN THE END, LIKE ALL THE SERVICES LISTED ABOVE, YOU WILL HAVE TO DO MOST OF THE WORK YOURSELF. SO WHY NOT LEARN HOW?
THIS IS WORK.
The actor Michael Keaton once said his job wasn’t acting; his job was auditioning. Lady Gaga said that if fame hadn’t come her way, she’d still go from bar to bar, hauling her guitar and singing her heart out. You need that same mindset.
Write Publish and Market exists for people who want to write novels and pay some bills.
Maybe someday you strike it big. But I know you can do better than 75% of everyone else out there. Here’s the reality: write a novel with minimal profanity, and you can make money. Write romance without explicit eroticism, and you can make money. This doesn’t mean you can't make money writing anything else. But when you create clean stories, you find far more face-to-face venues for selling, and your audience widens.
I make more than $1,000 a month by selling my novels every weekend, all while working a full-time job Monday through Friday. And I never run a single ad online or anywhere else.
Publishing Support: Self-Publishing Made Simple
Learn how to publish a book with tailored guidance on publishing platforms, formatting, cover design, and distribution. From preparing your manuscript to launching on Amazon and bookstore channels, I help indie authors navigate the publishing process—step by step.
AMAZON AND FB HAVE THEIR PLACE
There’s a place and time for Amazon and Facebook. But even for a writer with five novels and monthly sales over $1,000, website traffic won’t justify retargeting ads. Social media followers, even after a year, won’t drive significant sales or gather a large number of emails from a giveaway.
If you think hiring one of those agencies will work right away, think again. They exist to take your money. Even if you’re financially secure and still want to hire someone, everything we’ll teach you needs to happen six months to a year before you consider outsourcing.
The vast majority of writers don’t find success. Their ads disappear in the endless stream of reels and memes. Countless writers pay agencies three, four thousand dollars (or more!) to publish and promote, only to sell a few dozen copies. Others hire marketing firms hoping someone else will do the heavy lifting, only to end up with equally low sales.
This is reality.: A workable process of selling more books than 75% of the rest of the writers out there. No agency to hire, no ads to pay for.
If you’re looking for a quick program or foolproof formula, you’ll need to look elsewhere. You can become a KDP bestseller following their targeted programs, and when its over, it doesn't mean you'll ever sell more than a few dozen copies.
IN THE END, LIKE ALL THE SERVICES LISTED ABOVE, YOU WILL DO THE MAJORITY OF THE WORK YOURSELF. SO WHY NOT LEARN HOW FIRST?
TO REPEAT: EVEN IF YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY SET ON USING A MARKETING AGENCY OR A PUBLISHING FIRM, YOU NEED THIS PROCESS FOR THE FIRST YEAR.
My author website makes $100-$200 in sales each month from readers buying the next book in the series. And that number continues to grow. Without running any ads, my website already performs better than fifty percent of other writers’ who sell. That growth took two years, but it happened.
I know this process works because it stays in YOUR control. You have to do it. Farming it out to a marketing agency or social media manager won’t cut it. You’ll find more value putting that money into reviews, like Kirkus Reviews and similar platforms. Reviews attract purchases when readers see them.

STOP WRITING ALONE

We encourage writers of all genres to simply put out the effort to write what they love.

What our members say about Write, Publish and Market:
Write Publish and Market has supported my writing efforts by serving as a sounding board for everything from plot and character to spelling and commas. Without them I wouldn’t be as knowledgeable about publishing, both through platforms like Amazon, and hand-selling at markets and fairs. I wouldn’t know as much about getting an agent, and the trade offs between self-publishing and traditional publishing. Overall, the group is a weekly boost in my quest to become a published writer. — Sue T.
Write Publish and Market has been an invaluable part of my writing journey. The group has helped me improve the structure and clarity of my work, and the knowledge shared—both from the host, Terry, and all fellow members—has deepened my understanding of the craft and the industry. Just as important, the support and encouragement I’ve received have kept me motivated through tough creative periods. I’ve also gained practical insight into how to position and sell my writing, from identifying my ideal reader to crafting pitches and understanding the publishing process. It’s been an essential community for both my growth as a writer and my confidence as a future author. — Corey J.|
